My brush with fame. Well, not really…
May 17th, 2008 | Post By: Daisy | Category: Off-TopicTwitter has been a really terrific networking tool for me over the past month. After finding the
Moms On Twitter list at
Sparkplugging.com. It wasn’t long before I came across
Skimbaco the owner of
Skimbaco.com,
a boutique with really terrific, high quality children’s clothing and accessories. When she announced she was having a sale I immediately went and ordered several pairs of pants in my son’s size. Including these terrific bright red pants with a fun skull and crossbones patch on a pocket on the leg
I also ordered a really terrific toddler size backpack (covered in sharks and monogrammed with his online name “
SuperMako“) in which my
son is keeping his “on the road” blogging supplies(camera and notebook.)

Soon after I placed my order the news broke that the shoes that Oprah commented on when talking to Tom Cruise about Suri were actually purchased from the Skimbaco shop. I don’t normally follow this kind of thing but having my son wear pants purchased from a upscale boutique also frequented by celebs is a bit cool.
If you haven’t been by the Skimbaco Site you should definitely check it out. There are some great things going on there and Katja, the owner, is a really great person to deal with. You won’t be disappointed.
